DIESEL ANNOUNCE NEW FRAGRANCE ‘ONLY’DESIRE’
Launched this spring, ONLY DESIRE is the first women's scent under Glenn Martens' creative direction, fronted by global ambassador Dove Cameron. The brief wasn't "pretty" — it was power. Diesel positions desire as a life force, not something to suppress or perform, but an inner fire to claim on your own terms.
Martens called it "Diesel's DNA: confidence, freedom, and personal expression. Soft, yet leaves a powerful presence" — the same duality he sees in Cameron, who moved from Disney to Gen Z icon and is heading out on her own world tour this summer.
The juice, built by master perfumers Nelly Hachem-Ruiz and Paul Guerlain, is what they call "Metallic Vanilla." At its core is a Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, sustainably extracted for Diesel, creamy and smoky. It's cut with platinum aldehydes and AmberXtreme, so the vanilla doesn't get sweet — it gets sharp. The brand even named the dry-down the "Desire-Trigger Accord," designed for the moment desire turns into movement.
Notes are clean on paper:
Top: aldehydes, bergamot oil, banana, pear
Heart: cumin oil, living vanilla orchid, jasmine grandiflorum, rum absolute
Base: vanilla bourbon premium, praline accord, AmberXtreme
The bottle does the talking. Clear, skin-smooth glass shaped like an orchid — Diesel's symbol for femininity and resilience — filled with deep red juice. Through the middle, a galvanized steel Oval D literally pierces the glass, turning the flacon into jewelry.
ONLY DESIRE is up for preorder now in 30, 50 and 80ml Eau de Parfum, exclusive to Douglas Italy until July 12 before wider rollout. Tagline: "MY DESIRE. MY POWER."
