New Waves 0105

It’s been a while since we curated some of our favorite tracks for your listening ears and we thought, sure let’s get back to it. This month in our New Waves feature we kick start the summer with mellow grooves and rhythmic flows, from house to uplifting trance.

Plug in!

TOMIKE - BY THE RIVER

Artist Tomike has been trending lately, with her own production ‘By The River’ and we can hear why. A summer anthem with a smooth groove and deep bass drops, complimented by echoing vocals. Tomike has a versatile sound, ranging from garage to house, and we can’t wait to hear more this year.

DANY - GUINO CACO

This next track is from Wicklow producer DANY features a Spanish vocal throughout, complimented by a groovy melody and a deep kick. His first release, Dany is fresh on the scene and this smooth flow leads us into the summer perfectly.

GEORGE SHEARER - NO MORE

Another producer from Wicklow, George Shearer drops several tracks recently amongst his house select ‘No More’. Varying genres and experimenting with his sound, George has shown his strength in house and we want more.

NOAH - BROKEN BONES EDIT

A classic for all the old school clubbers, this edit of Love Inc’s ‘Broken Bones’ comes from Noah in Belfast. A steady beat with a trance enhancement on the 90’s melody, it’s one that brings us way back. It may be a risky move remaking these classic hits, but his spin on these records do justice.

JACK LYONS - BUMP LIKE THIS

Down south in county Cork, Jack Lyons gives up his latest tune with ‘Bump Like This’. A certified banger for the summer, features vocals from Kelly Rowland’s 2009 hit. Producing since 2015 and consistently releasing new sounds, Jack is one to watch.

SHEE - STRANGEST DESIRE

One of our favorite dance producers in Ireland, from Killarney, Shee releases yet another track that we could play all day long ‘Strangest Desire’. An immediate uplift and steady pace, the track features echoing vocals and an underlying tone which has us day dreaming.

DATSKO - MY TYPE

Datsko is on our radar as he continues to dominate the industry with his unique sound in production. His latest track ‘My Type’ includes in his EP Miracles, released under Reboot Label. Following his peers like Kettama, coming from west Ireland in Galway, his ear for angelic melodies and easy kicks continues to impress.

JKAY - DON’T GIVE UP ON LOVE

London producer JKAY gives us a story to tell in his latest track ‘Don’t Give Up On Love’. Light hearted drops lead into a bouncy trance beat that will lift your spirits no matter the weather.

WHOS FAULT - STREATHAM

Last but not least, across seas, Aberdeen duo Whos Fault release a trance edit of Dave’s hit ‘Streatham’. The rap vocal is complimented by a solid beat and translucent synth as it drifts up-tempo. One for the motorway.
