New Waves 1807
After the success of last month’s New Waves feature, we have invited one of our favourite club goers, Dublin’s Ethan Brady, to select his most desired tracks of the month over on Soundcloud.
Anyone who knows this hot stepper, knows he likes to get busy and his ear for music is recognisable amongst his circles. From Dublin, to Berlin, and beyond, he has been to some of the world’s best parties and it reflects in his selection of sounds as he’s chosen a variety of international, club-ready tracks using dance, hip-hop, r&b and pop samples to get the sweat dripping from the ceiling.
BRENDA X MANUELA - FETCHHH (SANO MEGAFLIP)
To start off mildly, this nostalgic Sano Megaflip Edit from Colombian’s 𝓑𝓡𝓔𝓝𝓓𝓐. and Maria Manuela, features an iconic phrase from Gretchen and Regina George in Mean Girls alongside Khia’s ‘My Neck, My Back’ and a bouncy bass tone.
MISSY ELLIOTT - WORK IT (LC7 REMIX)
Australian producers have a dominant position on Soundcloud currently, including newcomer LC7 from Sydney. His recent garage remix of Missy Elliott’s ‘Work It’ returns the sound of the 90s and pays homage to the UK era we’re all familiar with!

Stef de Haan has us ‘Starstruck’ with his new spiritual and religious summer sound, sampling Ellie Goulding’s ‘Don’t say a word’ which we’ve also heard in Drake & Jay-Z’s ‘Poundcake’ in recent years. The track’s eurodance bass is complemented with echoed fx and a trance like synth. Track of the summer?
DESTINY’S CHILD - DON’T GET OFF THE BUS (DJ EURPARKING EDIT)
DJ Europarking aka Dollkraut has us shaking with his recent edit of Destiny’s Child and Timbaland’s ‘Get On The Bus’. The Dutch DJ & producer sets the standard for sports mode with a bouncy bass and ghostly keyboard synth from start to finish.
BAGOFMOORE - WHO’S BACK
Ireland’s Bagofmoore, based in Berlin, releases his latest track ‘Who’s Back’. The industrial deep techno sound features a snippet of Gwen Stefani’s ‘Holla Back’ and blends soft melodies for an intrusive and enhanced experience.
ECKK - DISKO STICK
Released under Poland’s house label, HOUZ, this next track ‘Disko Stick’ from producer Eckk, features the lyrics from pop’s favourite Lady Gaga. The classic hit is reinvented with a groovy disco summer house sound and we can’t get enough.
ALEXSAN - FORGET THE GIRL (SPORT MODE)
It’s all the way up! Across the pond, DJ and producer, Alexsan has us midnight drifting with his sport mode mix of Route 94’s ‘Forget The Girl’. After a previous hit edit of ‘Trip Assimilation’ with Black Traffic, he bags another summer anthem.
BAD BOOMBOX - TOUCH ME
Our bouncy booty trance dealer Bad Boombox, takes us into the depth of our early raver days with his edit of Rui Da Silvia’s ‘Touch Me’. Released under German label Hot Meal Records, this modern trance sound has the perfect uptempo bass, soft snares and the unforgettable vocals of a memorable classic.
NIX - TRACK FOR NIX
Cooling things down, Iceland’s NIX delivers their latest sounds in NIX003, Ocirala - I Want To Lick Your Brains EP. The track comes alongside three other bangers including ‘No Fap Day 37’ and ‘Gina Doesn’t Love Me Enough’. Spin it.

Putting an end to our New Wave medley this month, jamesjamesjames delivers this calming track that has us reminiscing on good times in life. Born in Beverly Hills but based in Brisbane, we are feeling the influence from both destinations in this trance house sound.
