DIESEL PRE-SPRING 2027: Nothing Is Exactly What It Seems
Diesel Pre-Spring 2027 is Glenn Martens doing what he does best: breaking normal clothes and rebuilding them stranger, sharper, and more desirable. The lookbook is built on illusion — miniskirts cut impossibly short, denim that pretends to be leather and leather that pretends to be denim, dresses that disguise themselves as two garments and two garments that fuse into one. A tee looks casually draped but the drape is permanent, trenches start in one material and end in another, and jeans arrive already creased by time as if they've lived several lives.
Martens pushes the fabrication further with feather-light utility denim, sheer technical fabrics, and biker jackets dyed in radioactive red, yellow and green, while hoodies lose pockets and polos lose proportion. Accessories keep the distortion going — the new D-One bag multiplies its handles across the body, denim climbs onto stilettos, and eyewear melts in liquid acetate curves — all to prove his point that normality is the least interesting material Diesel has ever worked with
